Our times of gathered worship are single-purposed in glorifying and praising our wonderful Savior. We hope that with worship that is heartfelt and unhindered, people can powerfully and personally connect to God. We try to lead consistently authentic worship that leads to encounters with God that result in radical life change.

We know that worship is not only our gathering together to praise God in song and preaching. It is actually everything we do! Every action is an opportunity to glorify and worship God. We may begin with passionate worship here on Sundays, but we carry that worship into our everyday lives, praising God in all we do.

Do you have a gift that will help lead us in worship?

Using your gift in worship means to actively utilize the talents and abilities God has given you as a way to praise and honor Him, whether it be through singing, playing an instrument, serving, leading, or any other skill that allows you to contribute to a worshipful experience for yourself and others; essentially, using your God-given gifts to express your devotion to Him.

CHERUB CHOIR (ages two to six) Sunday Mornings.

Through song, laughter, and singing in worship, the Cherub Choir learns about the love and power of God. We learn that Jesus loves each of us–young and old–no matter what we do or who we are. Music fills so many of us with joy. Sharing that joy in God’s name with our youngest members is what makes NAPC a nurturing place for children.

JUNIOR CHOIR (First-Fifth grade) Sunday Mornings.

Junior Choir builds on the foundation of earlier experiences in Cherub Choir by introducing musical notation, simple two-part harmony, vocal technique, and listening skills that empower the young voice to “… sing with the spirit, but also with the understanding.” (I Corinthians 14:15) The Juniors occasionally sing in worship, participate in “Lessons and Carols,” and offer a staged musical at Christmas and in mid-summer as part of the Fine Arts Camp.

Contemporary Worship Team

Our contemporary worship teams are always seeking more musicians, vocalists, and technicians to help connect our congregation to Jesus through corporate musical worship.

A worship band member must possess humility, a desire to serve, and a collaborative spirit, as worship is about creating an atmosphere for others to connect with God, not individual performance. They should be a worshiper themselves, seeking to honor God through their music and allowing their own personal relationship with Him to guide and inspire their role in leading others into His presence.

If you are considering joining our team, here are your next steps:
  1. Pray about this opportunity! Prayer is a big part of the worship experience here at North Avenue.
  2. Request an audition and interview by emailing [email protected]. An audition helps assess your ability to play your instrument, vocal ability, or technical ability. The interview is our chance to get to know you, your heart for ministry, and hear a bit of your experience in music.
