As a church family, we are called to give care to and receive care from one another. Below, you will find ways to connect with different kinds of care at North Avenue. If you need support or would like to help, please email Kim.

Prayer
At NAPC, we have an active team of pray-ers who seek to bring the concerns of our community and world before God’s throne of healing and grace. We consider prayer to be a primary form of caring for one another. You can receive healing prayer on the first Sunday of the month after worship. Email [email protected] to be added to the weekly prayer list, receive in-person prayer, or to join the team.

Flower Delivery
Each week, members dedicate flowers to beautify the sanctuary for worship. After worship, the flowers are arranged in vases and delivered to people needing extra love or to our neighbors. To dedicate, arrange, or deliver flowers, email [email protected].

Grief Care
When we experience loss, we can become isolated in our grief and feel like no one else remembers our loss. Grief companions walk through the first year after a loss by sending grief booklets, praying for, and touching base with the bereaved. If you are in need of grief care, or if you would like to join the team offering care, email [email protected].

Prayer Shawls
Members of this team knit or crochet blankets, shawls, and hats for those who need the physical reminder of God’s Presence and the love of a church family. These beautiful creations go to North Avenue folks and patients at Winship Cancer Center. Members also teach new people skills, so anyone can join in! For more information, email [email protected].
